CallBack

  • It is a service offered by Banco Popular that allows you to schedule a CallBack from a TeleBanco Popular® telephone consultant without having to wait on the line.

  • To schedule a call, you must:

    1. Go to popular.com/callback
    2. Select the option that indicates the service you want to receive 
    3. Enter the phone number you want us to call you at 
    4. Select the date and time when you want to receive the call
  • You only need to provide a phone number where you want to receive the call. International phone numbers are not accepted.


    If you provide a mobile phone number, you will receive confirmation and reminder text message (SMS) notifications and it will give you the option to cancel the scheduled call, if desired. Some of the SMS notifications are only available in English. Text message notifications is a free service Banco Popular de Puerto Rico offers its clients. Text message charges may apply, depending on your wireless service plan.


    If you provide a landline number (residential or cellular without data and/or text plan), you will not receive SMS notifications, you will only receive the CallBack on the selected date and time.

  • You can choose the date and time you want to receive the CallBack. 

    • If you select a same-day CallBack, the system will tell you the estimated waiting time

    • If you choose to schedule the CallBack for a future day, you will receive the call on the selected date and time


    Availability of the CallBack service is subject to TeleBanco Popular® service hours and the volume of calls on the day and time you select.

  • Within the platform, a message will appear to confirm that the call was scheduled. You will also receive a text message notification confirming the call if the device has the functionality.


    Minutes before the call, you will receive a text message notifying that your call is about to be placed.

  • You can schedule a CallBack whenever you need to if there is availability at the service center.

  • The system will make three attempts to call you. After the third time, if the call is not answered, it will be cancelled, and you will have to schedule a new CallBack.

  • The selected services currently do not have a CallBack option. To receive assistance, please call the numbers that appear on the platform. 

    • To make an auto loan and/or lease payment that is 30 days or more overdue, please call 787-758-3369 or 787-522-1514.

    • If you are a business customer and need technical support, please call 787-756-3939, option #3.
  • If you want to check the status of your call, go to the text message notification confirming your scheduled call and reply @status. Some of the text notifications (SMS) are only available in English.

  • If you want to cancel the callback, go to the text message notification confirming your scheduled call and reply @cancel. Some of the text notifications (SMS) are only available in English.

  • You must first cancel it and then schedule a new CallBack.

  • Yes, you can schedule more than one CallBack.
