Information required to process a Wire Transfer

To receive funds

  1. The customer’s 9-digit Banco Popular account number.
  2. Account holder’s name (exactly as it appears on the account).
  3. Full physical address.
  4. Incoming transfers are accepted only in euros and U.S. dollars.

To send funds

  1. Beneficiary’s account number.
  2. Beneficiary’s name (exactly as it appears on their account).
  3. Beneficiary’s complete physical address.
  4. Name and address of the receiving bank.
  5. Routing and transit number (ABA) of the beneficiary bank located in the United States and its territories, or
  6. SWIFT code of the beneficiary bank located abroad.
  7. Banco Popular can send transfers in different foreign currencies.
    • The branch officer must first confirm with Banco Popular’s Foreign Currency Department to validate availability and requirements based on the currency.
