When can a person begin to receive the accumulated amount in an IRA account?

A person can begin to receive the accumulated amount in an IRA account upon reaching sixty (60) years of age without a Treasury Department penalty. However, that disbursement must begin no later than the taxable year in which the taxpayer reaches seventy five (75) years of age. Non Deductible IRAS (Popular Roth IRA and Stock Market Roth IRA) are not subject to this age/distribution requirement.
